The estimates were made by the policy commission at a meeting convened by the Union Home Ministry on November 13 to review the Corona situation in Delhi. The policy commission said 500 people out of every 10 lakh in Delhi would fall prey to covid. Currently, the proportion is 321 people per 10 lakh. The commission said the situation could be exacerbated by crowds gathering during festivals in Delhi, non-compliance with corona protection rules, rising pollution levels and increasing cold.
